I had actually meant to say - I love the word 'slippery-dip' and you're okay, it has been used over here - it turns up in Enid Blyton; The Faraway Tree books, I think. It's a little quaint, but not unknown - it could be a word Owen had heard his nana use and that's stuck with him - and it's just such a great expression. In fact, I think we should campaign to have it brought back into general use. (I'm already campaigning for 'lollygagging'.)
